SUPER CONNECTED VOUCHER SCHEME – EXTENDED TO 2016
What is SuperFast Britain?
Last year, the Department for Culture, Media and Sport launched the SuperFast Britain Scheme in order to help small and medium businesses from 22 UK cities to improve the speed and quality of their internet connection. The scheme enables qualifying businesses to receive a voucher from the Government for between £100 and £3000 toward the installation costs of superfast broadband.
Extended on 1st April 2015, the SuperFast Britain Scheme is now committed to a further £40million funding to provide around 300,000 businesses across 50 cities and regions of the UK with ultra-fast broadband by the end of March 2016. Cablestream Ltd is an official Government supplier for all cities.
“Superfast broadband can help transform existing businesses and enable new start-ups to get established. Reliable and consistent connectivity can boost productivity, even at the busiest times, regardless of the number of users online, and make it possible to build new business contacts around the world, reduce travel, and save money.” – gov.uk
